
The easiest ways to see (and potentially break) the Patterns that make you a Slave is via the process of Self Directed Change. Dicelife, for example, is the introductory element. The MFC, however, is a whole nother beast that must be wrestled with as this formidable Opponent is built up of fear, shame, ignorance and countless other things most daren’t acknowledge and thus it gains in strength by draining them of the life they could live as it builds their (false) self instead – covered in coping mechs – that then runs the treadmill with its “Work, Buy, Consume, Die” programming that is so effective. Just ask 81% of the planet…
Grab a pad and pen and note down as many things you can think that you’ve always done a certain way. It can be what and where you eat, how you sleep, things to do with your physical appearance or how you present, certain behavioral aspects, habits, your friends as well as things you don’t like about yourself and wish to shift.
Keep going until you get quite a few and then we’re going to select twenty one as our hit list. From this a third will be quite simple to implement (eg I will brush my teeth with my non dominant hand. Instead of eating eggs and coffee for breakfast each day I will switch to…) and third will be more difficult (eg Instead of sitting at home gaming or surfing the net I will leave the premises and talk to people I’d like to have sex with and I am now starting a new hobby that brings me into contact with folks who have the skills I wish to possess) and the last third should be quite challenging (eg I’m quitting drinking any alcoholic substance and I will totally isolate myself beyond all basic level communication for the remainder of the challenge) ranging to feeling impossible.
I’ve given you some examples other folks have picked but thats only to spark the fires of your imagination because it really is up to you to write that list. Many people find it very threatening when a blank page that represents the rest of their life is staring back at them and that is why its essential you think as opposed to me handing you a set of topics and having you pick. That is your Slave like conditioning speaking and complete lack of authority over your inner realm and the lack of ownership it brings as you look elsewhen for your solutions. This is a huge part of the problem and something this twenty one day challenge can fix as it forces you to draw upon and generate these resources. Don’t be surprised if it feels painful, as Neo said when disconnected “Why are my eyes hurting?“. You know the rest.
Now some hints to help prime your subconscious when it comes to the list:
What do you hate about yourself at this current moment?
What type of sex would you like to be having and with what kind of person?
Where would they be, most frequent?
What do you do that is obviously in excess because its pleasurable?
What could you not imagine living life without?
If your spin were drawing to an end how would you spend the moments you have left?
What did you want to be as a jit?
How do you envision the Ultimate Version of your Self?
If you could click your fingers and change one thing, what would you pick?
Any skills you’ve always wanted to possess?
What is the biggest thing holding you back from success?
If money weren’t an object how would you dress?
If you were to become a fictional character but living who would you select?
And so on…
That should generate more than enough options and using the above as a template ask your own questions (you may wish to note these as you will return to this challenge again and again once you feel its benefits). Next it comes to trimming the list so for this we use the traffic light method. As expected there are seven red slips which are the hardest to even imagine, seven yellows which aren’t simple but not as tough to envision and then seven greens which are seemingly small shifts that should present a small challenge but nothing insurmountable. Next write down all of the options you’ve picked upon little folded up slips and place them inside a container. Each day upon rising the first thing you do is pick that days challenge and then do it. The fun part is this:

Each day you are adding on a new task whilst maintaining the previous shifts as well so by the end you’ll have done and implemented all of the things that were on your list. Did you feel that jolt of adrenaline kick in? The butterflies in your stomach as a part of you starts tap dancing at the prospect of making life so interesting whilst another wants to quit and thinks its stupid whilst another is fretting about failing before even taking a step and if you’re up to it? Thats a key trait of the Slave. Being an individual (aka inwardly divided and dual) isn’t a good thing, contrary to what you think. Or Thunk to be more appropriate and this here is a form of reality testing that will not only break a lot of your conditioning it can show you strengths and skills you never knew you possessed as well as tasting the sweet highs of triumph and (more importantly) how you react to losing your way and having to find it again.

Oh, by the way, there is no quitting. Once you play, you play and thus you need to have some skin in the Game via the way of a fine. This has to be something tangible and enough to make it hurt in order to keep you moving. Someone once picked giving up all forms of sexual congress with his rotation another chose giving away their gaming console to a younger cousin. My personal favorite is buying groceries and then donating them to a local food bank but don’t be stingy with the amount or go so overboard that you’re lining up to borrow a tin of spaghetti yourself after honoring your challenge.
This is a very, very important part of this because its both the carrot and stick. Except this time you are wielding it against the inferior being (aka Slave) you’d been conditioned into playing. During this challenge you will feel a range of sensations ranging from exhilarating to depression and its why I recommend you keep a journal. No tapping keys on a screen for this. You need a pen and pad, preferably small enough that you can keep on your person and whip out to note down your observations as they happen as well as a larger one for expanded reflection and introspection, at depth. Reason for this is during the state of flux that occurs within your nascent Inner Sense you will start to gain flashes of inspiration that are quite ephemeral compared to your previously solid Thunking and we are encouraging this habit of wider options via reinforcing it. It also provides a great mode of reinforcement as you progress as you will literally be rewriting your internal OS and each journal entry attests to the bugs you fixed, the shifts in perspective and various other personal myths and symbols that we use at the next level of this challenge which I’ll detail elsewhen. The process works like this:
If you are a person that never, ever remembers their dreams and has told this to other people a zillion times then, deep within, there is a Pattern which says the same thing and kicks in each time you rise in bed. You get what you expect, in that respect. On the flip if you decide “I’m starting to remember my night visions easily” and place a pen and pad next to your bed before rest then you will notice, over time, that it starts to fill with more and more recollection. Even if you start with:
“Darkness. Nothing to recollect. Slight pain in my head, feel dehydrated. I am a man who remembers his dreams with ease”.
This is how you recode your internal OS and truly its what makes life worth living once it clicks that you’ve spend most of your life, a hostage of ignorance, inside the Mind Made Prison that most would rather die than acknowledge. The dreamwork side of this is vital because you will find huge chunks of vivid datastreams start pouring, way more freely, as you do all of this because you are starting to facilitate head/chest coherence (two of the Three Kingdoms, activated) which is a far weightier topic than can be covered in this missive. Its why I’d recommend you invest in some Magnesium Bisglycinate, a B vitamin complex and throw in some Zinc Picolate as well. For laughs and sprinkles you can check out a bit of L-Theanine or Chamomile Tea for a bit of added chill and zen as the daily increase in tension must be balanced with a larger depth of relaxation at night, in bed as this is what kickstarts the process of Centering in Self which is one of the hallmarks of the challenge. People who have attempted the MFC and slain the beast have said things ranging from:
“That was a living hell… But worth it in the end”.
“So much fun, I’m doing it again with new targets”.
“I feel like a kid again!”.
“I met the most amazing people and told them about the challenge”.
The last one was quite interesting because the chap who said this was shy and retiring and hated this about himself. He had been raised in an environment where “Children should be seen and not heard” along with “Speak when you’re spoken to” had been drilled into his head. Net result? No sex. Exceedingly frustrating as the guy was also attractive and could tell women noticed and on those rare events his lust outstripped his fear and he mustered up the courage to say “Hi!” he couldn’t think of anything else. This time round he said he just walked over and said “Excuse me, I’d like to show you this” and handed over his slip which said:
“Speak to an attractive woman without hesitating”.

And the rest of the conversation flowed like silk until she ended up in his bed. Why? When do you ever think she’d been approached like this? Not only that but the guy was overflowing with passion and actually had something to talk about that was unique and interesting because of what he was doing and thus forcing himself to generate options instead of honoring limits he secretly detested. When pressed he said that she was more intrigued by the challenge than him but he didn’t mind because it kept the conversation moving and one thing led to the next with no effort or pretense as it was all so natural. He said:
“I can’t believe it. Everything you said about a masked existence, the world being a stage and how we put on a performance from a position of ignorance. All correct! Ha! Not too convinced on the rest of your stance but this internal OS and the Mental Flex Challenge literally hits it on the head. I can’t believe I would’ve lived and died as the wackest version of my Self. Thanks again!”.
See the importance of passion in this? This event is also why I recommend telling others about what you’re doing. Now, granted, I’ve always been a move a silence type of guy who prefers to let the results speak for themselves and thus the basic blank template of the MFC presented in this article is usually tailored for a perfect fit in a consultation but, in general, telling at least one person makes a Soul accountable for their performance and further amps the investment, thanks to the encouragement presented.
Some folks like to carry the slip they picked upon their day commencing because it can only remind you of what you’re doing but also provides a great pretext, as in the above example. Others take each one at night and mark it with a huge red tick before bed after rising to the occasion. This seems to really be a big hit with those who were of the “Grade me, mark me, rank me!” school of Thunking whilst also being very soothing to the performance anxious as its tangible proof of progress.
That brings us back to what I said about needing to up the stakes. There has to be something on the other end of the scale that would sting if you slipped. Something genuinely visceral and if you fail and don’t go through with it then never come back again. This is a strictly one time thing and if you choose to dishonor your Self after starting the MFC then you are doomed to be a Slave from now till the end so run back to your coping mechs and leave this to the real who are willing to awaken the Warrior within. Sounds rough, yes? Well, thats the way it is. If there were any terms and conditions, this be it. Lets recap:

Write a list of things you want to shift Loads of them. Let rip, without limits.
Pick twenty one using the traffic light model ranging from doable with effort to quite difficult and nearly impossible.
Introduce some skin into the Game for non compliance. This part must sting.
Write down the goals on slips and place them in bowl to pick upon rising. Eyes closed, no peeping!
Grab notes with your pad and pen as change starts happening.
The last step is optional as for most the Journey is the reward in itself but some folks like huge carrots (with sprinkles) to motivate themselves so pick something that you want but have denied yourself. It could be a tasty treat, a new toy, an imperience like a massage or something. Whatever it is make it a little more or equal to what you’d staked to fail and then spend this on yourself as way of celebrating and acknowledging your innate awesomeness. Check the article. That too can be refined, ad infinitum, till you get to the level of wanting to face the MFC and become an adept of your inner realms.
Another reason why I said tell your friends is because you’ll be able to see exactly what I meant about the Slave mentality and how many people are dwelling in velvet lined ruts of predictable misery that they hate, terribly, but are too scared to act differently. Learned helpleness that awaits a savior outside of Self and will do almost anything for the “Hip, hip, hooray!” and pat on the head, in life and death.
When the bars of the Mind Made Prison start becoming evident you’ll start to comprehend why the Warrior declares war upon his (false) self (note the small s) in order to embody higher principles and all this brings. Once you do this there is no more need for slips or challenges. Your entire life becomes the process, the Journey aka the Path of Power that you create by walking and you’ll find you are way more happy, energetic, creative and fun as you’ve woken the Inner Sense that was lulled into slumbering via the various machinations of the System and its nefarious forms of programming with the intent of siphoning your energetics whilst being forced to run the treadmill that powers what many never suspect (and fewer still comprehend) due to living the life unexamined.
And if you fail? Great, take it as feedback instead. Learn and keep moving. There is no two stepping in the Game. Start digging.

One aspirant did this midway and started writing about how he felt (using angry red ink) in that moment and about halfway through his immense tirade he felt like vomiting. Instead of holding back, as he usually did, he just let it rip as thus popped a Pixem as his face was held over the porcelain with tears streaming down his face he remembered a moment in his childhood when he was picked to represent the school in a spelling contest and he messed it up in the mid due to a word so simple because of nervousness. He remembered seeing the disgust on his fathers face which made his stomach tense up in a knot that had been held like that ever since. The shift for him was direct and visceral as he’d never thought of that event since, even though his body remembered, and this generated a new state of equilibrium with which to start a new challenge with more brainstorming to extreme depths as now he was more than willing to chase down the phantoms of the past and bring them, screaming, into the light of the present moment otherwise known as conscious attention aka the Witness. I say that to say this:
This isn’t in any way, shape or form those simple pop-psych things. Its very powerful and equally dangerous because there can be things hidden within that make their way into your awareness after a lifetime of suppression so you have to be flexible enough in the moment to trust the process. This is why the MFC is usually done, one to one, in the flesh so I could keep tab on your energetics and direct as needed but I can tell, from those reading, that there are some ready to rise so I pushed the pen and shared this on the web as a basic representation of the deal to get you started on the Path to gnosis and happiness and it brings. You are entirely responsible for all things that kick should you choose to do what is said in this text that was penned via a figment of your imagination because, in the end, the Game plays out inside your awareness and you are the only Soul in the realm. I know, this can seem a tad metaphysic and woolen but there are the levels to this and you’re actually upping your resolution about whats truly happening on many stages of resonance that go into the human imperience of which most are ignorant.
Case in point, if the guy above had just “swallowed his pride” again (now you know the origin of the idiom) then the knot would have simply got more intense and he wouldn’t have had the cathartic experience that came as he was sitting there on his bed, beating himself up in his head about failing again. Its when he noticed this hint as he was noting down his observations in ink that he asked himself:
“Again? When else have I felt like this?“.
As he switched hand and ink to let the child within fill in the blanks that rushed him to the toilet before the scrawl on the page had even finished. Thus came the unfoldment of the tension in his abdomen. See what I mean about needing that sense of presence? That childlike inquisitiveness and inherent fearlessness that wants to push the limits, just to see what happens? This is Prime. This is your natural state. Your divine inheritance and its currently buried underneath decades of conditioning, willful ignorance and the teachings of an immense System that is strangely silent on the topic of your inner realms. There is way, way more to this than seems on the surface and its a test I use often to discern which Slaves actually have Warriors hidden within at my practice. Don’t fret if you’re not one of the 8 percent on this spin, its simple harmonics because there once was a life and time when Slaves were the minimum but we’re now on the opposite end. Its just the Game of Souls and its levels doing its thing. Matter of fact there are those who are still exceedingly Slavish in the vast majority of their Thunking but that one pesky red that they’d stuck on the list, took off and then put back on again before saying “Eff it!” and giving it a spin through their layers of apprehension that made all of the difference in an area they were seeking.

For them, that was it. It was enough. They tried, they won, they don’t feel the need to do it again. In my eyes its only the initial step but, for them, they’d arrived. And you know what? Thats fine. Good for em! They have more internal freedom now than they did before the challenge and should they feel the inkling again they can return for another spin. There are those who filled the ticks and then immediately jumped back in, getting more and more intense with their list because it felt so thrilling to obliterate limits they didn’t realize they were enforcing against their Self from a position of ignorance installed via the System and inherited from their parents. A lot ended up totally redefining themselves. Some walked away from good, well paying jobs that they despised with a vengeance buy stayed in due to expectations and dread of changing. Others ended relationships with women that sounded like they swept in on broomsticks to urinate on their parade, without fail, whenever they were enjoying themselves. Most are still doing what they did but are now Centered in Self and thus it all feels different because instead of just going through the motions hoping to make it to the end (where they’ve been told it will all feel different. Hint – It doesn’t) they are the process, the Journey, the moment and thus everyone around them noticed that something had shifted but they couldn’t quite put their finger on it.

What everyone has said and is almost unanimous is that:
“This was the most interesting thing I’ve ever done as I learned so much about my Self“.
So I ask – Will you rise to the Mental Flex Challenge as there are plenty of articles you’ve read that have primed your awareness and produced an outline of higher dimensions realms as well as your internal OS so its time to dive in to that zone of discomfort which is where the magic happens.
