The Mentor Process

Have you ever noticed that when a friend comes to you with a problem all you see are solutions yet when you’re in the same place yourself the script is flipped and hopes dims as you find yourself getting pulled in to a loop of negative thinking where you often make mountains out of molehills. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could be a friend to your Self in that moment in order to think different? Yes, well why not try the Mentor Process and see what happens:

Relax, become centered. Drop in your embodied awareness and request the presence of a mentor to assist with their guidance. It can be a friend, someone you’ve seen in a show, anyone you feel may just know exactly how to handle the predicament. We’re in the land of imagination and there are no limits to the resources you can bring to bear upon the situation. Now, once you’ve done this its time for the conversation in your head which can play out just like they were there in the flesh, as you’ve no doubt witnessed countless times when friends are at their wits end and you help them find a solution.

It really is that simple as self talk is a natural element of the embodied imperience, just like imagination is and this way we put them together in a way which offers your temporarily closed perspective an opening which allows inspiration to pour in. Many people have used this process to literally and metaphorically talk themselves down off the ledge and without things might have gone different.

Another interesting thing to consider is that the Mentor Process hints that we contain within at least two mode of being. One is expanded and sees the pic, all the playas as well as potentials that are contained therein whilst the other has a tendency to hyper-focus and the catastrophization that brings because limits beget limits that manifests as ever decreasing options whilst expansion blows away what was often not even there in the first place. Are you your best or wackest version? The very fact you can tell, in an instant, that other options exist and where, in relation, you sit is quite interesting, yes?

The more you do this the more it becomes Self evident that reality exists in a very malleable state and you have immense powers and skills to bring to the table when it comes to shaping the experience an event generates. This is why I say there are no accidents, only opportunities when one lives in a state of play because this is the prime way we first learned how to make our way into this Game along with imaginary friends and a great many other things the Mentor Process can once again bring out of retirement as you learn to transcend limits and thus free yourself for other perspectives which are way more fun in the long run.

Try it for your Self. If you haven’t, yet, then I’d recommend you sketch a timeline then commence with the rest as it really does help track your adventure in the flesh and how to direct it next. There are a lot of coals ignorant of the fact that they’re diamonds, shining, as they haven’t updated the OS in their heads with a new perspect since back when. This process can really help one get to grips with life as it is as one aspect of you may berate for not having done that or this whilst the other points out far greater accomplishments. To put it visually:

This is what I meant when I said “Keeping the Correct Distance“, back when as objects may seem closer than they are in the illusion called life and the surprise is when it clicks it all takes place inside your head. That, in a nutshell, is the Mentor Process in full effect. Use it to Witness your Self as you do the Knowledge and bring more depth back to the pic as you make smarter choices and play the hand dealt to win.

The next step as you up your res is comprehending the fact that atoms are mere fabrications and that you’re the only Soul in this realm which means if life is a puzzle you best get to solving it… Is it getting solipsistic in here, or is it just me? Let me know once you reality test and, your Self, taste the superfine mist of consciousness, my friend.

Till we meet again
